A bathtub with a door!
When I first saw one of DCE’s wonderful products I thought of all the people I know personally who would benefit from this innovation. As my generations parents get older, I have many friends who are trying to make their homes more accommodating for their mothers and fathers. They realize that for their parents visit them they need to have a way to have their daily needs met including a way for them to bathe. The bathtub can be one of the most hazardous places in the whole house. The father of a good friend of mine was expressing to me the fear he felt each time he stepped over the tub wall to take a bath. The anxiety of whether he would be able to get out again safely was even greater. The more I learned about the walk-in tub, the more people I found who have trouble getting into a traditional bathtub, not just the elderly but anyone with limited mobility.
My goal is to help people remain independent. The bathtub should be a place to unwind, not to increase anxiety. By installing a walk-in tub in your home you create a safe, relaxing, independent bathing environment which I believe everyone deserves.
